I am 5 months pregnant. My doctor gave me a list of drugs I can take. It includes Tylenol and Tylenol Extra Strength. It doesn't say anything about Tylenol PM. Sometime at night my back and legs are so achey I need something to help ease the pain while helping me sleep. Does anyone know if this will hurt?

No, Tylenol Pm does not have alcohol in it, NyQuil does, but not Tylenol PM. My doctor okayed Tylenol Pm and actually recommended that I take it one day when I had a sinus headache. She said Tylenol PM is basically Benedryle and Tylenol put together. Ask you doctor again, but I can tell you that mine said yes. I don't take it often though because it does make my sweetie drowsy...good luck.

I would ask your doctor. I was getting about 2 hours of sleep a night because I was waking up to go to the bathroom and couldn't fall back asleep. My doctor let me take a tylenol PM.
Ask your doc first though. I was further along than you when I started taking it.

You can take half a unisom REGULAR tablet. But not any other sleep aids. The extra strength tylenol you can still only have 650 ML of. You shouldnt ever take more than that. Some doctors will tell you its okay, but its not okay for developing kidneys.

Check with your doctor, but Tylenol PM is just Tylenol with Benadryl in it. Both are "class B" drugs...considered OK. But I would get a go-ahead from your OB first.

Tylenol isn't cool. Thats why its not on the list. I alleviated my achiness w/ soaks in a warm baths.

Do not take any form of a sleep aide. IF your dr. gave you a list of what you can take then why in this world would you think of asking us? What is the point of the Dr. giving you this list? Do you not believe him?

There is a good reason it isn't on the list. It has alcohol in it! Don't take it.
