I just started this job about a month ago and I can prety much wear anything. The last job I was at, which is why I had to get the hell out of there had so many stupid rules. Listen to this, check for pantyhose, no open shoes, sandals no sleeveless shirts, no jeans ever even on Fridays, no short pant and boots, no nothing. Guys had to have ties on and jackets. No coffee or eating or drinking of any kind at your desk, not even water so obviously there was no water coolers. I know I got off the topic a little bit but the mention of rules reminds me of being there. Sorry.

We're business casual every day. During the summer, Fridays is more a more casual day because we only work until noon. Never supposed to wear tennis shoes though. And while they used to allow jeans, they decided that jeans can now only be worn if you're going out into the field...which means no one in administrative staff can wear jeans! And of course, if you have clients coming into office, or going to meetings, supposed to dress up (ties, etc.). But leaving it up to individuals, "dress client appropriate.

In the middle of a very hot summer, I once wore a suit with taylored shorts into the office as a protest against the smart dress code for men and 'anything goes' code for women. I kept it up for a week before I was threatened with the sack! I had made my point though and had some fun.

YES--thank Goodness--I can NOT stand dorky uniforms and dress clothes- sorry but I feel better and work better when not dressed in the most embarrassing crap that exsists (which is what people usually require) I know you cant show up in a hoochie suit or anything but give me a break some companies need to get a grip with their stupid dress codes.

i only have to go in to the hospital once a month and we can't wear jeans; just started last month. I just wear khakis, it's 1 hour a month and I always dread it.
I usually wear jammies to work, then take a shower and get dressed after 8 p.m. lol.

We have casual Fridays, still allow jeans, they cannot be the ones with holes and rips in them.
