I agree that 84 was great and more championships have been won there and more hall of famers but most everyone in the 96 draft are still playing so it is not done yet thats why I think in 10 years we will be saying that that was better. Also the 2003 draft was great but it is to early to rate it.

In 1984, you have at least four current or future Hall of Famers, a handful of solid contributers, and at least 10 NBA Championships. In 1996, you have at least three potential Hall of Famers (Iverson, Bryant, and possibly Nash), a bunch of solid performers/All-Stars, and at least seven NBA championships (the bulk won by Bryant and Fisher). By those numbers alone, 1984 was the best draft year ever. Not to knock 1996, but there are more suspects than stars on that draft list.

overall 1996 has a more deeper list of solid/great players than 1984. so i think the 1996 draft class is better OVERALL. 1984 still has the best player, MJ, out of the two. cant forget about the 2003 draft class either, that class might go down as the best draft class ever!

i agree

though in terms of NBA championships rings, the class of '84 won 8 with Jordan's 6 and Olajuwon's 2.
