When you were younger, what did you want.......?

to be when you grew up? real or fictional
and what is your occupation now?

I wanted to be a teacher until I found out how much they made, now Im a paralegal thinking of law school

I just wanted to start by saying what an awesome question...I love trying to remember being a kid and how simple life was, I wanted to be everything from a dr,cop,lawyer,stock broker and super hero....how crazy I am none of those things but it was fun to imagine I had a chance to be all those things than you grow up and life isnt that easy. I now am a finance mgr at a car dealership nothing I ever dreamed of being even today.

When I was really young I wanted to be a famous pianist, and I was famous for my Little little town ( 4 to 7 years old ) then at 10 years old I didn't like the piano anymore, then I start painting ,I thougth going to university finishing one career I will be happy with anything gives me money, so I study business administration, then I found out that creativity is my field what really makes me feel happy cause numbers and economy makes me really bored. so I travel different city to study graphic design or something like that....
Do you know what happen? I got married to a guy who does not support anything, the person who told me will pay some of my studies too , but any ways forget the money He never support not even emotionally.

What I do now? I'm trying to figure out how should I pull up with this guy so I can chase my dream or still babysitting

Originally, I think I wanted to be a vampire :)
Later on I decided Ancient History was my game, but, like you, I realised that the earning potential of my chosen vocation was less than satisfactory.
I tried for Pharmacy at 3rd level, but got shot down by the points system.
I made a stab at Electrical Engineering, and was pretty good at it, but it seemed like a whole lot of work for very little reward. Sure the money is good, but i really didn't enjoy it.
Now I'm a student, still trying to figure out what I want to do. I'm studying Computer Science (it's nice and flexible), and hoping something worthwhile catches my eye in the near future.

I remember when I was in year one (about 6 years old), we had to write 'When I grow up, I want to be a......." so I wrote "When I grown up I want to be a mum"........ and I drew a picture of me with about 20 kids around me. Well, now I'm all grown up and there's no way in hell I want 20 kids. I am 34 now, I have two, (boy and girl) and that is just fine. Even to this day, I can remember the poor teacher looking so mortified. Everyone else wanted to be doctors, nurses, fireman, police officers, but not me, I wanted to be a mum!!

Now: my occupation is I'm a housekeeper at a resort in the town where I live.

I wanted to be a teacher and I still do, just can't afford college. As for now I am self employed. But, I do help out at my childrens schools all the time.

YES,I wanted to be a cop.When i was 25 i got the chance to do it an went for it.I worked 10 years in law inforcement.I would be there not but was hurt and now i walk with a cane,But i would do it again if i could.hope i answer your question.lion

I wanted to be a bunch of random things: an optometrist, a meteorologist, a spanish interpreter for NASA (I know, WTF?). I am actually a paramedic. If I ever have the opportunity, I will go to physician assistant school (it's like 2 years of medical school instead of 4).
