I don't judge, people on looks. Looks are unimportant but then you have lots of people that judge others on how they look what they wear how good they do their job.To me that all doesn't matter because i really don't care about what other people think its what i think that matters most.

Judgments are a very important part of society. Some judgments are unfair however. How can you judge a person based solely on race or looks? These are not things people should be judged by, yet it happens all the time. They should be judged based on their character and personality.

Judgment is very important some places. At work, without a boss judging you, how would they or you know how you were doing? Reviews or judgments are the easiest way to assess an employee. Work ethic and effort are the only important things in this type of judgment though. Race may play a factor, depending on the boss, but it shouldn’t AT ALL.

Look at the president. He is judged by millions of people every time he makes a decision. These judgments and opinions offer many different useful views. These judgments are helpful to society.
Athletes are also always being judged. A perfect example, Johnny Damon striking out 8 times in this series and people have been judging him since his first bad game.

Judgments may not always be fair or justified. However, a judgment based on relevant topics, not race or ethnicity or looks can be very useful. These are all unfair ways to judge someone and they should not affect people judgments. Judgments are an important part of society when they offer something useful or insightful. The other broad, foolish judgments people make have no place in today’s society

The way a person looks is the first thing people see, so we do make snap judgments about others. I think the real problem is that some people use that judgment to decide if the person is worthy of further interaction. We think, "He's wearing a dirty, flannel shirt and has no front teeth so he's a redneck. We don't have anything in common, so I don't need to talk to him." Instead of "He's wearing a dirty, flannel shirt and has no front teeth so he's a redneck. We don't have anything in common, but I bet he has some good stories."

I think judging people's looks is natural, but it's our actions after we make that judgment that are really the issue.

It is easy to judge someone on looks, all you have to do is glance at them. It takes a lot more time and effort to get to know someones personality. That is why so many people judge on looks.

That's just the way the world works. I wish it wasn't this way, either!

For example:

If a totally nerdy gal likes this hot, jocky guy, they can't date because it would be bad for the jocks image.

If a totally nerdy guy likes this hot, jocky gal, they can't date because it will be bad for the gals image.

This happens a lot everywhere, especially in the U.S., where we are based so much on how we look, that we can't bear to date anyone ugly, because that would just be plain bad for our rep! If a guy or gal is totally nerdy, no one wants to get to know them for who they are because of the fact that....well....they're totally nerdy.

See what I mean? Long story short, our society is based too much on how we look that if anyone isn't wearing Abercrombie or Hollister, then you should act like they're invisible and not get to know them for who they really are.

Because with people like that . . . their heart, their emotional intelligence... it has not evolved to that point as yet where they can see the past the outside and see the value of the inside more.

There are those who know to how to hug (see) the soul, not just hug (see) the body. They are few and far between . . . but they are out there.

Different levels of brain intelligence out there . . . So as, there are different levels of emotional intelligence in people also.

By nature, we seek symmetry, in the physical world as well as in people. Beauty is another name of symmetry. As such, instinctively we are more attracted towards beautiful people. However, once we mix with the person and get to know his / her nature and character, our opinions often vary. At this point the initial instinct gives way to intelligent thinking.

That's why first impression is important. Though look is not always trustworthly, it is no doubt important to keep a neat, friendly and confident appearance so as to gain more attention and benefits. However, always remember not to judge a book by its cover.

Because we are raised in a society that is obsessed with looks. Just take a look at advertising, Television , Movies, all around people are more concerned about how they look more then how they act, because they believe that as long as they look good people will like them.

Because alot of people out there are too shallow to see any other than what size they are and how pretty their face is, it takes someone who is really serious in finding the person of their dreams to want to see past the outside appearances.
