I am taking a japanese class and would like to be able to practice japanese with someone online. It's pretty hard to locate and converse with the japanese in my area since they are very clique like. Thanks!

I teach at a university in Japan. My students are always looking for ways to practice their English. If you would be willing to email so my students could also practice a little English, I am sure I could get some of them to email you in Japanese. Please send me a message.

You can sign up for free, put your interests online and look for a language partner.

You can find all kinds of people who share an intrest in japan or want to learn the language, or maybe a trade off of you helping with their English and they helping with your Japanese.

Ask for a pen pal here on Y! Answers. :) They have international portals if you want to talk to someone in another country. Just look at the bottom of the screen at the maps and choose one. Or write to someone who replies to you answers?

Try this language-exchange page from Japan. You will find many Japanese who can help you practice your Japanese as you help them improve their English.

www.japan-guide.com has a free section where you can post ads or send people messages, this is all free. unlike other sites where it's free to put on a profile but you have to pay to contact other people.
or you could look on myspace.com under japan, that would come up with 000's of people you could talk to.
