they feel like a period cramp to start with and then get stronger. if they were strong contractions you would certainly know, you would never have felt anything like them.

contractions are a dull pain that comes on sharp. They are like period pains but intensified by 100. Contractractions do not hurt when you move or cough.

Well first of all.. every women is different. That being said: They kinda feel like menstrual cramps that get worse and worse. Makes you want to curl up in the fetal position and cry. The pain you are describing reminds me of round ligament pain. I would ask the doctor though. Only they can tell you for sure. Good luck

When you think you are having a contraction, feel you belly, it will get REAL Hard. If you are having a dull pain like you said, it could be contractions, but you should contact your doctor, so they can examine you. It could be a sign of a problem. Both of my girls had to be induced before 35 weeks because I was in constant pain like that. So your best bet is to call you doctor. Even if it turns out to be nothing, you doctor will be glad to make sure. I know with my first I was scared to call my doctor with things because I was afraid that it could be nothing, so I wanted to know for sure first, before I called. But my doctor told me to always be safe than sorry. He told me to call him 24 hours a day, if I felt something didn't feel right, and for sure if I had any kind of pain.
Hope that helps,
Brandy

Contractions feel like bad period cramps. You should recognize it when you get them. When you cough or move, you are also interrupting the cozy little position that the baby is in, so they move to adjust to this and press against your nerves which have sensitive nerve endings, hence the pain.

when i was in labor for my first daughter mind you i was only 17 the midsife asked me if i was feeling any contrcation i said"I don't know what do they feel like?" She told me they felt like mensteral cramps. Well being a very athletic girl i rarely got a rg period not to mention any cramps so i told her i did not know what mensteral cramps felt like. After she stopped laughing she told me something i could relate to. She told me they would prob feel like that stitch you get in your gut after you run alot. and you know what that is what it felt like. I can laugh about it now but then it hurt like hell...lol and good luck.

It generally feels like a tightening in your abdomen, that as time goes by feels more intense and is more regular and frequent. It will feel like mentrual cramping for a while and steadily get more intense.

That also could be the tugging of your skin. Contractions are like severe cramps. Very severe.
