Well... white man did that and much more he is right in that. But, that doesn't mean that he can sit there and do nothing and expect the rest of the world to feed him. It just doesn't work that way. We'll keep paying until the injustice is undone, that's never in other words, it just can't be undone. Still every person has the responsibility to take care of them self no matter what background they have.

In some ways the Old Man is right, the Blacks were slaves, so were the Asians. You regarded the Mexicans as poor and stupid. Of course we all know that these people are not any of these things. Still, the Indians are on Reservations, the schools they promised, have failed. But don't worry, the money that is given our young is being put to good use, drugs and booze. A good Indian, is a dead Indian......right????

Good question. I agree that the native indians should stop complaining because they did lose the war and by default their land. Survival of the fittest.
That being said the mexicans are kind of taking over the US by having lots of children. So if the native indians are not allowed to complain about being pushed off their land, then in all fairness the white should not be allowed to complained about being overcrowded with visible minorities.
Survival of the fittest after all.

your question makes it sound like all of society is still paying for "what they did", whereas you are talking about one man who ois embittered by what he was taught. You should be gracious and show him there is no returning animosity on your side.
Yes, all of society "pays" for things they did, but not in the same way, it's a guilt that society feels, nothing can really be "done" since americans are brought up to think money can solve a lot of issues, this is a wealthy country, so imagine what it would feel like for a society with all the money, and a problem that money can't fix, a stigma that can't be shaken.
People need to be confident in their lives and be the ultimate example of civilization, be just, moderate, and kind. To dwell in sterotypes and label and talk about mistakes people made who are no longer living makes people bitter and empty. Also, don't feel like he needs to be told to "get off his booty", he seems like a proud man, show by example what a person with peace in their soul is like.
good luck.

Because you didn't just do it to the Indians. You did it to others as well. You the white man was the one that started this bullsh!t! And that's why you're going to be punished the worst. Sure the Indians may have been the first people you robbed but you also made other nationalities suffer. And trust me on this, if you're not being punished now, you will be. Not all white people are bad so I'm not going to even generalize on that. But the evil ones are going to catch so much hell until it's not even going to be funny. And if it makes you feel any better, it's not just going to be your nationality catching hell. It going to definitely be a mix crowd. Because evil comes in all colors, shapes and sizes.

If youre answerers are under thirty, then chances are you will get this mealy-mouthed "we owe them reparations" crap. Those of us that have been around a while know that there are no reparations owed to generations beyond the first. You become what you want to become with due effort and diligence, but lazy races and ethnic groups will always use this as an excuse. If these people are not doing their best to improve themselves, dont listen to them. Its like the useless, pizza-faced, tattooed, pierced, lazy 16 year old at mcdonalds, griping cause he only makes 5.15 an hour.

Plainly tell him "look you're offending me. I may be white, but do you really think I approve of what others did? Did I make those decision? You want to change something? Take this to political level because I'm powerless to do anything" Hopefully he'll shut up.
