It's not broken, it's in perfect condition, but it looks like it's petrified. I'd like to use it in my sun room.

My grandmother had a similar rocker and was in the same shape, what I did was to use some fabric softener and a paint brush and I just kept putting it on the chair until it felt like new again, then I rinced it off with the hose and let it dry in the sun. It's like new, and I've got some cushions on it !.

well you can pay a carpenter to resurface and maybe add a few things here and there to make it look newer.
or you can go to the nearest home store and buy the things you need to do it yourself. just ask for a proffessional's advice
