Have you ever run barefoot in the street?

Yes, on dirt roads when i visited grandfather's farm long ago. Later on i foolishly showed the other boys how touch i was to run on blazing hot black asphalt in fla. in the summer. even ran on rock roads and concrete roads to toughen the feet. wow! what a dope! now at 64 i have diabetes and nuropathy and must have soft cushioned shoes and walk carefully. i have studied the structure of the foot in grey's anatomy and longed for my old tough feet. yeh, i once could run like hell on the street.

Well, I don't run that often, usually only when I have to catch a bus or train! But when I run, I run barefoot 'cause I haven't worn shoes for the past ten years and it's comfortable & healthy. Even glass or thorns aren't a problem if you have tough feet, especially at those train stations there's quite often glass laying around, when I do have to catch that train I run full-speed over it and I haven't ever cut my feet.

Yes, when I was a kid. Stopped going barefoot outside when I saw a neighbor spit a huge nasty wad of chewing tobacco on the sidewalk.

Yes, not a good feeling but when you're checking the mail in your underwear and a car passes by then you need to run back in the house.

I am not a Hill -Billy. I hate to be barefoot. I believe our ancestors worked hard to better the world so we could all afford the luxury of wearing shoes and I plan on respecting that and wearing shoes.

Yes. Summertime in the hood we used to have open fire hydrants or johnny pumps to keep kool in the heat. We'd take our shoes off and play in the water in the street.
