Ask GreenDay. Last year it just sorta cracked me up. Kids that I teach were talking about this "new band." And I'm shaking my head thinking...... "Do they realize these guys have been going after fame for over 10 years??"
I look at Ronald Regan.... (Ok bad example).......but the poor guy ran for president sooooooo many times that I finally think the country just voted for him to put him out of his misery. Ok so the world ended up loving him. Wasn't always that way.
Look at Jodie Foster and other child stars that worked and worked until their art was taken seriously and they received notoriety for their work.
Ok so maybe my examples suck...lol. But I'm racking my brain trying to think of more. (I'm at work and multi tasking is a challenge for me.) But the point is....... yes.... lots of times it takes years for someone to just finally be noticed!!
Maybe if someone close to them extinguished their candle, they might have been. *wink*
