If you are talking about the type of questions being asked by the askers...AT FIRST GLANCE..it would appear there are many depressed and desperate people here...BUT..
As an answerer, it is very hard to judge as to whether these are genuine questions being asked for genuine reasons, or whether they are people just trying to get their own kicks...(for whatever reasons they have in their heads for doing so..we, will NEVER know)....OUR BEST HOPE is to read and re-read and answer as best we can with our own personal knowledge and experiences, in the hope it will help the genuine who truly need others advice...(It is reasonably easy also to work out who justs needs a bit of humour to keep them happy, as we all do now and again)...So, keep YOUR chin up, be happy and the world laughs with you !!...thankx for the great question and happy answering !

Oh I do not see people here as this way...might be just the places here you are going too?
I go to the pain management place, if a person has chronic pain, at times this can bring a person down. Or on the main page and there mate has cheated on them or left them. This could make a person down.
Everyone has there own opinion on how others come across.
Have a great day!

it is not as you may think
with each generation, comes new ways to see things
for some in the younger set, life has become a world of issues.
with each generation, less is passed on
now we see less and less of the basic civil attributes
it is only a small percentage of the whole that are seen
these few may respond in a inappropriate manner
a few may see Answers as an outlet
this is a free land, and here you can VOTE
Vote on the answers, if inappropriate, vote as you feel
maybe yahoo will start showing total / best / worst ratings
smile, you will get positives from most

It's just the people on the Internet and on Yahoo Answers who think like that. The other people who have real lives and who don't think like that are living it up in the real world, having a good and happy time, and not getting depressed by living in this Internet world.

It's everywhere, unfortunately. Many people are sad, as leading a happy life is a skill. Some people have them, others need to learn them.

i think you have a point;
for i think back to childhood, the games and the fun, sheer
fun i mean. But we or rather you shouldnt labor the point
too much;for you and i or even them may have good reason
to be sad(eg death of someone, bad luck or illness)- and they
shouldnt be afraid to write about this; but still the children are
the future-just like we were- and as long as this beautiful
world continues to produce them, then sheer joy and happiness
is likely to recur again;and again.

Life is fantastic. It's just that people asking a lot of questions or needing a lot of reassurance probably aren't thinking that positively.
Personally, the last year or so of my life has been the best one, and I think this year will be even better!!

I have noticed the same. But let's not assume things of them. Perhaps they use this as a way to explore and/or express feeling that they wouldn't do in real life.

I think it is just that people use this as an outlet when they are feeling bad becuase they need someone to talk too. They probably aren't always negative but are only expressing negative feelings.

Everyone reacts and acts differently, you handle things one way, others don't. People just need a place to help them, this is one.
