What is a good blood sugar range for a pregnant woman? I'm afraid mine is a little low.

Unless you have gestational diabetes your blood sugar should remain the same as normal range which is 80-120 or some say 70-130....depends on the doctor but anywhere in that range is fine (my doctor goes by 70-130 but my mother's doctor goes by 80-120). Both of my parents are diabetic (mom has type 2 and my dad has type 1) so I am monitored very closely during pregnancy for blood sugars. Good Luck though!!

Challenging question.-- and most people will give you a wrong answer. Ideally blood sugar should be very steady and about 85. The problem with blood sugar is if it fluctuates wildly, or goes way up and stays there (or goes way down and stays there, but then you are dead). If blood sugar is steadily over 100, then the level of insulin in the blood stabilizes at a higher level, and while insulin is needed, it is a bit caustic, and so in excess it is an irritant. (short answer, I hope it is clear)
