Good point! Why did they stop at $7.25 an hour? They keep telling us that they haven't raised it in 10 years, allowing for inflation, the great economy, low unemployment and the fact that they say it doesn't affect small business, shouldn't it be at least $20.00 an hour?

If a person is out of high school and can only obtain a minimum wage job then they are most likely guilty of poor decision making. Everyone should be allowed to earn what they are worth and if people don't work hard to prepare for their career then their worth goes down. Raising the minimum wage helps teenagers who still live at home but drives up cost for the parents who feed and house them.

I think $7.50 over two year period is fair and deserving. On the other hand, $20.00 an hour, anytime, is ridiculous as many college degreed employees start below that per hour rate.

For some people they think that is a good idea, without thinking of the repercussions.
I really don't understand either.

But I've come to realize that people are stuck on stupid. Get use to it being smart puts you in the minority.

One might as well ask, "If lowering taxes is good, why not lower them to zero?"

That argument, and your argument, are predicated on a logical fallacy.
