Sometimes it will end up moving as your uterus grows. However, if it doesn't move to allow full access of the cervix, most doctors will schedule you for a c-section. If you tried a natural birth with previa you would be at risk for the placenta tearing and a few bad things could happen then, and it can be fatal in rare cases for both you and baby.

My mother had it with her pregnancy with me. She went into labor before her c-section and I ended up spending 2 weeks in a NICU because I began drowning in the blood when the placenta tore during labor. Emergency c-section saved both our lives.

Doctors are MUCH more advanced now, so follow their suggestions and you'll be fine. My friend delivered via c-section with that condition and she and her son are fine!

I had the same thing at 12 weeks pregnant. It did end up moving at like 32 weeks. I had a lot of ultra sounds to see its status. It was cool because I got to see my baby more. There is a Very good chance it will move, but yes if it doesn't then you will have to have a C-Section. Also when you get closer to delivery, don't panic if your mucus plug comes out bloody! Its because of the placenta parts breaking off. That's what happened to me. I had a healthy baby boy on 10/26
