I'm moving into my own apartment, and I'd like to use this "free money" to buy something useful for it. I have an entire bedroom set and living room set, and I'm holding off on a dinette set for my kitchen. I'm thinking that I could put the gift cards toward something that doesn't fall into the aforementioned categories. Any ideas are welcome and much appreciated!

I just bought a nice canister set, and a tea set there. I would suggest to you to watch for their sales. They often have this sale, where when you walk thru the door, they hand you a coupon for 20% off any one item, wether it be sale or clearance item. I went in twice in one day to get that coupon!! Its ok, you can call Me cheap, I prefer thrifty!! Happy Shopping!!!

Post the gift cards on E-Bay with a buy now price of $45 or $50. Sell the Pier 1 gift cards for cash and then treat yourself to something you actually like, want or need. Although Pier 1 does have some nice items, most are way over priced.

Pier 1 has some really cool floor vases. You know the really big vases that you can fill with stuff and stand on the floor to fill up space in an entryway or that weird space behind a door.
They also have all kinds of cool stuff to decorate your walls and table tops with. have fun shopping.

pier 1 has some great dishes / glasses. don't know if you need any of those. also, some really interesting mirrors for wall hangings. reed diffusers to make it smell nice. candles and other knick-knacky stuff. tons of options. just go to the pier 1 and you'll be lucky if you make it out for UNDER $66.

Anything you can use that is on clearance. Your money will go farther. Candles, pillows, baskets. They have really neat drinking glasses. Possibly a martini set, if you like those or have company that likes them.
