You shouldn't have to choose. But for the record, parents. Lovers are not Husbands or Wives, and they come and go. Parents are forever.

I would choose my lover. My parents have lived their lives. They have gotten married, had kids, etc. Now it's my turn. If my parents and my lover do not get along, I would try to mend fences between them. However, if my lover is a, genuinely, good person, I would stick by her side. Sometimes, parents have a hard time letting go. I told my mom I loved her very much, but this is my life and I am going to be the one to live it.

You shouldn't have to choose...but family will almost always be there. Lovers, hell even spouses come and go now a days.
But regardless, as an adult-none of them have to live your life nor do they have to deal w/ the emotional consequences of your decisions. So keeping that in mind, make the choices that are right for YOU.

i would choose my parents...... as they were the ones who looked after me when i was down, they were the ones who loved me unconditionally, they were the ones who will remain with me, no matter "i'm good or bad"..................(and the list goes on and on)
Actually, that's what i have actually done in my life................ I CHOSE MY PARENTS and "HE" also agreed to my decision........ as he knew the importance of parents!!!!
though, thr is a feeling of lonliness without "him", but at least i'm not feeling "guilty" by being with him without my parents will............
most of the times, we tend to overlook what our parents did for us, whereas we shud respect, love and praise our parents for whatever they did for us!!!!!!!!

if my relationship with my significant other is really strong and I have the feeling it last forever I'll stay with him. my parents have to let me go so i can live my life!
