If you could provide the make and model number and type of gas (natural or propane) and clarify what has happened. Did this just happen? Have you just installed the range? Has the range been converted from natural gas to propane? Without more information you will only be getting guesses from people who only know a little about a system that is entirely different from the one that you have.

If you want you can click on my name and contact me and I will be glad to assist.

Seem,s to me that the flame you are seeing is the pilot lite only. Turn up your thermostat & see if the pilot flame increases in size if it does then pull out the broiler drawer in the back of the oven you will see a silver colored rectangular shaped block that connects to the oven main burner. it is called a (safety valve) It has a capillary tube on it that sits in the pilot flame when it is heated enough it will open the safety valve & allow gas to flow to main burner. If after turning up thermostat the pilot flame increases but main burner still doesn,t light give that safety valve that i referred to a light tap with something it might just be stuck If your pilot flame do not increase when you turn up themostat it would point to a thermostat problem called a qualified gas tech. & if it checked

Check the connection of the knob that turns the gas up. This might be broken or just loose. Take the knob off and turn the stub by hand if that doesnt do it get someone mechanically minded to investigate the linkage back to the gas valve.

call a repairman...or turn the gas off, get a air hose (canned air for your computor will work) and blow out the burner, and vacuum out the jets and burner.

Clean the burner. Then there is an adjustment under the over knob, where you turn it on.
