could just mean that it is sensing that you have abs in your system. take it to a mechanic and have it checked if it is bothering you. if it has always been on, it probably simply means that your truck just has abs.
if not, the mechanic can diagnose it. check your handbook before you take it to a mechanic, because some can be costly just to run a diagnostic.
good luck!! :)

I have seen this problem numerous times. The most likely cause is the wheel speed sensor is dirty. The best solution is to remove each one, clean them thoroughly and reinstall. If the light does not go out almost immediately, begin replacing the sensors. They are relatively inexpensive at the dealer, and fairly easy to install.

The ABS is a braking system, i have the same thing wrong with my suburban. It is nothing big until you go in for an inspection and then they will make you repair it. Im getting mine repaired and its costing me $2300. Thing is, it wont harm you not fixing it because it just a back-up braking system.

THe ABS light is recognizing a brake problem, and brakes are a serious matter. I would go have it checked as soon as possible. Most likely an issue with the brake fluid and or low pad thickness.

The problem stems from the whell hub assembly system. It may be dirty. Try washing them off. If it keeps happening buy a new one and replace one at a time until the prob goes away!
