Hello! I just bought a used car. I went to an auto shop to change the motor oil. I pay 45 dollars for Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Is that a fair price? Thank you.

45 dollars is very fair considering you bought synthetic oil. You probably aren't getting any value out of the syn. unless your car has NO oil leaks, and you are less than religious about getting it changed regularly.

That's dirt-cheap for a Mobil 1 oil change.

Yes, pretty fair.... 25-30 bucks for 5 quarts of mobil 1...

5-8 bucks for the oil filter...
It'd still be cheaper if you do it yourself of course...

if you paid 45 including labor and filter it is a fair price. if car has any kind of miles on it you are wasting money with synthetic oil it will leak and will not help anything except lighten your wallet
