Yes! Baby showers are appropriate no matter the marital status or number of kids you have.

A shower is perfectly fine. I have and 8 year old daughter and had a shower my second daughter is 7 and i did not get a shower. I am 18 weeks now and my step mom is having my shower for me at the end of march. More than likely a family member will have one for you.

I personality don't see a problem with having a shower for your new baby. Why should this baby have used things? I have a friend who had a shower for her 4TH child. Her only girl but it really doesn't matter how many children you have already have. Those baby clothes you had for your son if they are still around are four years old.Congratulations!

It's been quite a while since you've had a shower. I'm guessing that if you weren't planning on any other kids, you probably don't have any of your baby stuff left. If someone wants to throw a shower, I'd say it's ok.
