Each team has one bye week, and so, by playing 16 games, there are 17 total weeks. Then, the Wild Card playoffs round begins with the 3 seeds playng the 6 seeds, and the 4 seeds playing the 5 seeds, with the winnners moving on to the Divisional round, where the 1 seed will play the lowest remaining seed, and the 2 seed playing the highest remaining seed. The 1 and 2 seeds get byes into the Divisional round as a reward for being 1 and 2. The the Conference Championships go, and finally, two weeks later, the Super Bowl.
