Yes, it is common for girls to want to become marine biologists. I would warn you first, however, that it isn't all about swimming with dolphins. You will have to work with dead specimens, you will have to dissect them and study them under the microscope; you may not work much with dolphins and you may end up focussing on something much smaller (microscopic) or much bigger (like whales). You may spend days or weeks at a time on a boat in the ocean. Anyway, that's not important now, you'll decide late what specific field of marine biology you want to pursue.

In the meantime, excel in sciences. Take as many science classes as you can (biology, chemistry in particular). Read and stay up to date on new developments, read up on life habits of dolphins and other marine life, etc etc. You don't have to obsess over it but the more you know, the better.
As you get older, you can start looking into which universities provide marine biology degrees.
Accumulate lots of hours of volunteer work and extracurricular activities - all very impressive on a college application form.

Something else you may want to look into is dolphin training / handling. You will still want to get a university degree, but you can start by volunteering at a zoo that keeps dolphins, and work your way up!

I also want to become a marine biologist when i am older. I am only 14 now so it is very far away in my life right now. BUt your best bet would be to find a college that you could get a degree in marine biology. You would also have to decide what you would want to do as a marine biologist.

If you can't do the mathematics you can't do the science,if you can't write an effective report it doesn't matter if you can do the science. So English,Math, and probably at least one foreign language, after that you get to cut up the lab specimens.Science is all about applying your observations to math, if you can't do that nobody will take what you do seriously.
