I had a c section in march of 96 and was pregnant again when my daughter was just 3 months old. my scar tissue from the first c section pulled and hurt. it was completely normal. I had a second c section with that baby in may of 97. i also had a third c section in august of 2003. all of my children are fine and i had normal pregnancy's. you do have to be careful, though. the scar tissue area is weaker than the rest of your uterus, so the weight of twins will be especially uncomfortable. also, a little extra advise if i may... don't try for a v-back. go ahead and have the second c section. its very dangerous for the mother and child. i had a terrible experience that almost cost me and my son our lives and ended us up in an emergency c section. don't risk it. go ahead and plan for a second c section.

Yes, it's normal to feel a little bit of pressure in your scar area - but if the pain gets worse than just pressure, see your OB or midwife immediately to rule out a problem. In the meantime, keeping your tummy well moisturized won't hurt anything - maybe try cocoa butter on your scar. The better moisturized the skin, the more elastic - hopefully that'll help a little.
Good luck, and congratulations!

IF you have already had a c section then your doctor will try to tell you to go for another. THis is because you now have a scar on your uterus and it is at risk for rupturing during labor... your uterus gets very thin toward the end of pregnancy and the scar gets even thinner. I have seen many women VBAC (vaginal birth after ceserean). Women do it all the time, but i think the MD's try to avoid it, and talk moms out of it. A vaginal birth is certainly an easier recovery for mom. If your OB is giving you the option because they think you can do it, then try it... whats the worst that will happen??--- you end up with a section!!

I have had 2 c-sections so far and am on my 3rd. That pain is very normal, especially when your skin is being stretched from the baby growing. I have even had pinching feelings from it when I wasn't pregnant. It's hard to get used but it's something you'll come to find is really nothing.

Yes the skin is being pulled and stretched and there will be discomfort. It may feel like it could rip open but of course it won't. Try not to gain any more than thirty-five pounds. Use coco butter on your tummy several times a day. I swear by coco butter. Good luck on your new baby.

Not unusual...Scars are less elastic than "normal" skin, therefore, they don't stretch easily...causing discomfort. As someone else said, your best bet is to massage the scar regularly with cocoa butter.
Congrats

Well considering you just had this C-section only 8 months ago. Yeah its gonna hurt. Even with 7 years of recovery from my first C-section, it was sore, pulled some, and uncomfortable for me.

It's not uncommon. Try using some cocoa butter cream to help relieve the cessation of pulling/stretching. Congratulations! Be well.

It happened to me. I've had three C-sections. Just do your best to watch your weight gain and you'll be ok.
