From what I've read you will have an easier time running SLI, less headaches.

SLI negative : I think you cannot do HDR + AA at the same time,
unless you are using the new 8800 cards

X-Fire negative : You can't watch DVD's in X-fire mode, you have to turn it off first, in order to watch your DVD.
