Why did jesse last name change in the show from cochrane to katsopolis?

I thought I was the only one who thought that!!!! My mom didn't believe me! She said his name was never cochrane! I knew it was! I know this isn't an answer but I am just really glad that you caught that too!

I Love Full House and still watch it. As to Jesse's last name. I cannot say, I do not remember.

It was a first season thing, then John Stamos wanted a Greek last name, so they changed it after the first season.

they also changed jesse's and danny's moms after the first season. joeys mom was never seen again, unfortunately.
