Because unfortunatley that's the greedy, self obsessed, bling, not happy with what we have want to be someone else sort of sh*t society we live in mate. Everybody wants to be famous!!

It is just because the so called global village, pressures from the society and economy and other related factors inclusive of population increase. All these have worked towards creating human beings who no longer have feelings for others and can no long empathize. They have moved from being people centered to self-centered. That is how we have lost ideals. It is only the resilient ones who have still stuck to ideals. This is best noticed in remote villages in the developing countries where the society still hold on to defined ideals and observe them regardless of circumstances. The so called modernization has come with disadvantages that is seriously ruining societal norms and ideals.

gratification. and your topic matter was a passing thought of mine also this morning ,and i thought about the church when they would help people in need, they would say to pass it along when you tried to repay them but there are groups who will say. You owe me one and favors among the few are self contained.
