Just the regular FRAM filters. I work in a garage and I have noticed witht he K&N and equivialant, that the oil used to filter out the dirt, is sucked into the intake and it plugs up sensors. I have to deal with problems on a few cars with sensors gumming up or just getting too oily to get a good reading. All were caused by K&N, I use FRAM in my car, and i've never had a problem. Also, K&N is susposed to be used from when the vehicle has just finished the brake in period, it susposed to be used from the start of the vehicles life. And another thing with K&N, is that they need cleaning a lot, and if they are left too long the dirt pretty much ruins the filter and a new filter is needed. I've seen that a lot too.

K&N are the best air filter modification that money can buy. It will improve your performance (acceleration). It can be taken out cleaned and reinstalled again and again. As for fuel economy, that is a disadvantage as with any performance increase you will see a decrease in fuel efficiency too. Such is life. Enjoy.

K & N is the original million mile filter. They are the best. But these won't do you any good unless you take the time to regularly clean and oil them.
But don't expect this to be the magic bullet to get lots more performance from a stock engine. You'll be dissapointed.
Changing your stock air filter at the manufacturers recommended intervals will maintain your performance and economy..
The stock factory air filters aren't as restrictive as the aftermarket companies want you to believe.
You can expect 0 - 15 hp improvement.

The difference in flow rate between a regular paper filter and a K&N is minute. You won't notice a difference in performance. However, you don't get better flow AND better filtration at the same time. The K&N will allow more dirt to pass through, and will eventually ruin your motor. Just replace your filter with a standard paper filter, and be happy.

K&N filters are supposed to be one of the best right? since most sport cars i've seen use K&N here in the phils? i have friends who use hks and say that its good too. but for cheaper air intake filters SIMOTA or AEM is good too.

KN........ they will help your fuel mileage but not so much acceleration. sensors and computer will keep that in check.
