Yes, I think in a way Sumatra is shielding Singapore away from all these terrible catastrophes. So I think Singapore is very blessed that some other countries actually protected us from so many unfortunes.

Well, Singapore is sure well protected by Indo. (Sadly B. Aceh) from the not too long ago Tsunami. So...yes i think Singapore is protected by her neighbour from the western seaward disasters.

If it is tsunami and earthquake, yes. . . but if foest fire, well. . . .Sumatra is the main cause.
