The Maint. Req light came up and the dealer told me to take it to get a change of oil. The light been on only for 2 days, and this morning it wouldn't start. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? Of course I am taking it in to get it checked but I am upset, I havn't had the car for 1 month yet!!!

I THINK the maint. req light on there is just a "dummy" light that will come on every X miles to remind you to get routine service. This is different from a "check engine" light. Drive it to autozone and have them check the battery and alternator (for free). Might simply be a bad battery.

some of them had a proble with the fuel pump connection gettin coroded and as a result no fuel..thats about the most common no start on an odyssey other than a bad battery so u could have a new but faulty battery also...does it spin but not start? if so sounds like fuel

do you smell any fuel when trying to start it , how many miles are on it it could be a number of problems, it sounds to me you should get another car thought there are some lemon laws with buying used cars from dealers as well. Good luck hope your problem is solved

Did the car try to crank? Do any of your lights come on? It could possibly be the battery or the starter. I hope that is the least of your worries.

It is either the battery or the charging system or the starter.
