Someone is in control. The system only gives us two viable choices for top offices, and there is not the option to vote for none of the above. Occasionally one like Ron Paul will get in, (congress) but there are so few that they can be outvoted. Everyone running for top office (president or vice president) has been "approved" by the controlling groups,. the council on foreign affairs, and the trilateral commission.the international bankers, and the Israel lobby. In other words, we only have one political party. (just like in Russia). And now we have the thought police, and it is against the law to think certain things. (they call them "hate crimes"---for crying out loud, what is a "love crime"?) Government is way too big, and getting bigger all the time, and if you listen to Ted Kennedy government should take over everything else. After all you people have proved you can't take care of your health care, so government should do it. (?) Lord Acton was right, "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" We are way overdue for a revolution, but with all of the weapons of mass destruction in the hands of the idiots in Washington, it would be suicide. Our only hope is that the Almighty runs out of patience with this fiasco and returns to eliminate sin and clean this mess up!

I don't think too many Americans can say they are happy with the government.
I don't think the founding fathers planned it this way. We need people to go into government that are not primarily lawyers we need people who do not look at political office as some kind of lifetime career.
If someone could tell me how to change this I would like to know.

I'm not happy about the fact that our tax dollars pay the salaries of legislators - both Republican and Democrat - that waste time debating "fluff" issues instead of digging in and getting something done with the more important problems facing the country. Does one really need to start a list?
Pick one and get going, I say:
Moving away from energy dependence.
Dissemination of contraception and information.
Health care.
Water quality.
Cost of prescription drugs.
Anyone who denies that "big pharma" is ripping us off is either naive or in big denial. I have inside information in this area, and most people have no idea whatsoever why the cost of some drugs is so high - and it has nothing to do with "research and development."

I for one am not! How can one be happy being controlled by a Government, who seemingly cares nothing about the average American citizen, caters only to its own agenda, power, wealth, personal gain and not the needs of the citizen's of this country. I say, all incumbent's need to go bye -bye and revert back to the original Constitution of the United States of America.

Until we have a new Executive Administration, with new advisors, deputies, secretaries, etc, I will not be happy. The people in power now go back not just to 2000, but to George Sr., Ron Reagan, and many to Ford (Cheney, until recently Rumsfeld). They have been messing things up for a very long time. I don't care what party they would belong to, but the powerful need to be replaced.

If you find somebody, let me know. The Republicans don't like Dems in power, and vice versa. As far as I'm concerned, nobody's gonna be happy unless their party is in total control. And we see how well that works out, re: before the 2006 elections.

Few People are, Ma'm. We have to see that our own destiny is in who we Elect to Office. Be there, and find out who wants to do what. Then elect them to say what you feel is right. We got these Clowns. `cause no one went to The Polls, to act on their behalf. Voice your opinion, in The Voting Booth. Not here!

nobody i ever talk to, and i talk to people from all walks of life and myriad political ideologies. even the dyed in the wool republicans want to distace themselves from the currant administration, witness the november sweep. the great american swing vote is swinging back. we still have a lot of misfits and asocial outcasts trying to rally, but we'll always have them. look there's one now.
