You can, of course, get one on-line. However, check around for nick nack shops in your area. Any place where they sell items from Africa. Giraffes are a favorite subject of woodcarvers in Africa. If there is a Pier 1 near you look there. There are also stores which sell items with nature themes including animal figures.I know there were several in the St. Louis area and surely there are some near you. I think one was run by the Discovery channel. Ask around and see if anyone knows someone who does wood carving near where you live. Visit craft shows. If nothing else do a search on the Internet on African art. Try places like Pier 1. Here's websites I found you might like:

In New York City on Bleecker Street off Seventh Avenue, you will find these tall, slim wooden giraffes in several shops. I'm not sure where you live, but you may also try searching for shops with items imported from Africa. Do a search in your area for importers/africa.

I would try a store like Pier 1 Imports. If you don't have that near you, you might try looking up Imports in the yellow pages. And it's not a strange idea, my daughter loves giraffes too!

If you type "carved giraffe" in double-quotes into google, it gives results for the 2 word phrase, and turns up a lot of sites that sell them. Also try www.ebay.com or www.ebay.co.uk depending on where you are. I did a search and there were quite a few.

Here in South Africa you get those everywhere...literally you see people selling them on the side of the road where ever you drive. also you get them in curio stores but they are more priceless in shops. I suggest you plan a holiday to Sunny South Africa, its beautiful here and very reasonable if you're from america or uk!!! and its stunning summer weather here at the moment!!!
