There was a time when I did that, once, but I it helped me understand what I was looking at in the mirror I once had. I believe that looking into the mirror of Nothingness and observing is an experience that helps us develop our character.
What is existence? It changes depending on the mirror. Everyone of them is warped. Perspective of meaning and of life are dependent on the individual; so, looking at the true invisible form is healthy. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I respect your question and hope other people ask themselves that aswell.
I hope I understood what you meant to say...
