Now, I am not talking about the effects of pot. I mean, would you think of a person you once respected as a bad person after you found out they smoke pot? I think people judge people who smoke way to much. It can change who you are, but only if you let it consume you, same with alcohol. If it does make you think less of someone, would you still think less of someone if it was legal?

No more than drinking a beer, smoking a ciggarette, eating a cheeseburger, riding a motorcycle without a helmet, owning guns or a million other things. But there will always be plenty of people who will call you a bad person no matter what you do. So why bother to care about what they think ?

It's legal where I live, and while I've never tried it I know quite a few people who smoke pot, I don't really notice anything about them when they smoke a single joint, even if they've smoked a lot it affects them far less than if they've even had a couple of alcoholic drinks (without the pot that is, not in addition to it!). The little effect I have seen is that they get more relaxed, while I've unfortunately seen lots of people on alcohol get aggressive, yet alchohol is legal in the US and pot is not... I've never been able to see the logic in that! And I think better of people who smoke pot & are relaxed than of all those aggressive alcohol users, regardless of what country they live in and which, if any, of these two is legal there.

I do think it's somewhat addictive but I'm never sure if that's the pot or the smoking itself, for that we KNOW is terribly additive! I've never personally known anyone nor do I even know of anyone who's gone on to harddrugs after starting with pot so that doesn't seem to be quite as dangerous as it is made out to be either. How could anyone prove anyways that when people go on to harddrugs, was it the pot or was it another problem with selfcontrol/being easily influenced etc, that they already had before ever using the pot?

Good Question m8.

I think its what you do after you smoke pot that makes you a bad person, some just act goofy, some will just come up to you and attack for no reason and other stuff. Smoking too much will be seriously bad as alcohol damaging your livers and its addictive because one of my mates smokes it and hated it. I have also seen some program where some teenagers smoke pot alot and become really paranoid and short-fused then they were sent with their parents camping in some place. I had never tried pot and I never will but it could make you think less of someone and become in a world of your own but like alcohol you cannot get rid of your long term memories that easily.

I do not think people that smoke pot are bad people, and I also think less would smoke it if it were legal, after all it is defiance to smoke it. They have no right to make it illegal, and then legalize the murderous affects of alcohol,,our government is corrupt. very corrupt, so people defy them by smoking the hell out of it. Some are not even aware of their own defiance, and yes i think that to much of any drug is not good. Hemp is a very good product for many uses, and they make that illegal to grow also, yet it could make us completely independent of foreign oil if they had our farmers grow it, and use it for good purposes. It doesnt have the same thc like marijuana, and they should stop trying to outlaw the things that were here before they were !!!
If I want to smoke it, I will smoke it,,if I want to GROW IT<,I will grow it, and when they try to put me in jail, I will sue the hell out of them for killing my sister with THEIR LEGAL ALCOHOL !!!!!! I might sue them anyways !!!!!!!!!!

Legality has nothing to do with the marijuana problem,is an issue of health , and the effects of the smoking on young people. As far as I know this a scred plant , when drunk in a tea made from its leaves , the roots are also beneficial when ,pounded and boil , and drank , is very bitter but it cures cancer and other maladies, but once you take the plant , abuse the leaves and smoke it , the evil side of it comes up and is not pretty. What a person does in the privacy of his home ,if adult ,is his business, but when it comes to children or young people Iam against the smoking or making it legal in any way! Life itself is ahigh! We live so short a span that it makes no sence to be dopey! Hugs.

I would rather have to deal with a stoner than a drunk.

Stoners usually just get very laid back, maybe too laid back for their own good sometimes, but they rarely harm others.

Drunks usually want to fight or spew their anger rhetoric to any and everybody. And way more innocent people get caught in their crossfire. Look at how many homicides and manslaughter's have taken place at bars, taverns and nightclubs.

I have had 2 Doctors in my life. One was an older conservative, and the other is a younger liberal. Both from very different backgrounds. But they both said that if they had to choose between the two, they would rather have marijuana legal and alcohol illegal.

If someone smokes pot and drives.
If someone smokes around their kids.
If it's not "homegrown," you don't know what kind of actions were taken to get it to your door.

Smoking is bad for you. Period.

Way too many people self-medicate. I won't necessarily think of someone as bd, but I might think less of them for it. If it was legal that would definitely make a difference.

I personally will not think bad of a person who smokes. I know too many respectable people who smoke.

The fact of smoking pot is irrelevant. The decision to consume any type of drugs for your everyday life speaks bad about you as a person, so, yes, it doesn't make you the best person.

I don't think it make you a bad person people just are used to all the hype that pot is bad so people assume that others who do it are bad which is so wrong.
