You don't tell us about your basic cares, so there may be a problem there.

You see, turtles like this LOVE space, warmth, and the sun, and need cleanliness and a varied diet.

Space- aim for at least 10 gallons of swimming space per linear inch of turtle

Warmth- heat the tank to 75-80F, and the basing sites to about 90F. Poor heating is a BIG reason many turtles fail to thrive.

Sunlight- lighting with UV-B rays is important in long-term health as well.

Cleanliness- use 2-3 times the filtration the same size fish tank would use.

Varied diet- try http://www.austinsturtlepage.com for great diet ideas! Another big reason turtles do not eat is that they are being offered the wrong foods.

Don't Keep Them In The Same Tank! Try Feeding Her By Her Self And Do Not Watch Her While She Eats! Though Sometimes Baby's Just Don't Make It No Matter How Much You Love And Care For Them.

Joemamma said it all. I have 4 Sliders two that are 35 yrs old and two that are 6. This time of year they eat MUCH less than in the summer. And mine also prefer floating pellets with other food given for "treats" They LOVE watermelon. Good luck!

try using floating pellets. i had the same prob. with mine they like it better also red ear sliders go into sometype of hibernation for the winter so they stock up for the winter and they can live for about three weeks without eating
