Do they _all_ have some sort of licensed cartoon, advertising, etc. on them? Does anybody just make the plain white kind anymore...?

I don't think so, they all do seem to have something on them in some way, I think it is supposed to make them more fun for the kids, but like babies know or care.

Personally, I haven't come across any that are plain white anymore -- not even the generic ones.

i buy off brands and they have little generic characters on them. I let my son play with the clean diaper while changing his dirty one...it helps keep him occupied...so the little characters help in keeping him distracted.
