Liberalism is ok when it is practiced.
But todays America's liberals, are not real liberals.
They are against change of all types and devoid of new idea's or solutions to problems.
Conservatives offered many new programs and initiatives the last 6 years, and liberals always fought against them, with never an original idea or solution to offer in return.
In reality the liberals of today are Stalinists and Marxists. Their belief that government is the solution to all problems and no wealth show be privately owned is what drives todays liberals.
They are also anti-American. They believe America is the worlds problem and the world would be better off without America in it.
Liberals are all for forsaking the poor weak and downtrodden if America's military is involved in keeping them alive, but insist on keeping America's poor weak and downtrodden in their miserable existance because of 'political correctness', (New Orleans and any urban city).
McCain is more conservative than liberal.

Liberal is an ideology, Republican is a party. You can be a liberal Republican as much as you can be a conservative Democrat.
I don't think he is liberal though. When he ran in 2000, it was a big deal and the media liked him. Since then, every time he doesn't agree with the party leadership, something is said about it. However, there are a lot of people in both parties that don't agree with the leadership on everything.

McCain is way too inconsequential to be called "relevant," I think. I'm a Democrat who was a Republican for 20 years. I liked McCain, and would have voted for him in 2000, had he not abandoned Americans for his deal with George Bush and Karl Rove. Now, he's merely an asterisk, I think -- for either mainstream party.

Have you bothered to check his approval ratings from the American Conservative Union? His approval ratings from the Americans for Democratic Action?
For the more than 20 years McCain has been in Congress he has averaged about 82 or 83% from ACU and only about 12% from ADA.
McCain opposes abortion and gay rights; he voted for the confirmation of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court.
Like Mark Twain said, ....... get the facts first; you can distort them later.

I listened to what McCain had to say, when he was running for President against Bush, he gave up to easily. He Broke down, really bad!!! He let Bush run all over him.....Not a good choice, My opinion is he is Republican to the core, and still follows behind Bush, and does not form his own opinions, but does what Bush tells him.

He's certainly way too liberal to be a Republican PRESIDENT.
But what worries me more is his mental stability. I firmly believe that he has flare-ups of post-traumatic stress syndrome from his days as a POW. Bless him for his service, but I don't think he should be in such a position of power.
