A spokesperson for The View, meanwhile, dismissed but did not deny the spat between cohosts, saying, "Whatever happened in the hair and makeup room was only a squabble. It's business as usual. Everyone has moved on."

As for Trump, he continued to detail two encounters he had with the broadcasting vet in the letter, one following O'Donnell's "maniacal and foolish rant" against him in late December—which sparked the feud—and another occurring several months prior to the brouhaha.

Trump claimed Walters phoned him after O'Donnell's initial verbal assault, in which O'Donnell criticized his handling of Miss USA Tara Conner's less than model lifestyle, "in order to apologize for your behavior...to be exact, [Walters] said that 'working with [O'Donnell] is like living in hell' and, more pointedly, 'Donald, never get into the mud with pigs' and, 'don't worry, she won't be here long.' "

He claimed in the letter that he encountered Walters two months ago at New York restaurant Le Cirque and, when he inquired over how O'Donnell was working out on the show, Walters purportedly responded with a roll of her eyes and asked, "Do you have to ruin my meal?"

Barbara is just trying to save her precious View show. THat's about all she has. She already lost her credibility with her comments on that show.

Rosie is Rosie. Why in the world Donald Trump would even respond to her in the first place is beyond me. Rosie's a comedian and may say outrageous things just for a laugh, most people know that and sometimes she says stuff we are thinking but wouldn't dare say. Donald is now making himself look foolish. What percentage of people even saw the show?--now everyone knows about it. And now dragging Barbara Walters in the whole mess.... I for one, enjoy the banter and can't wait to see what happens next, but it is kind of silly for them to do this.

Walters knows she made a mistake hiring Rosie. She's gotten rid of other women on that show and Walters will do what she has to do to keep the ratings up. Rosie has gone from a funny lady to a mean spirited pain.

If you watch The View you will see that Barbara Walters is denying ever having said that. She and Rosie have formed a united front against the Donald. Isn't it pitiful to watch millionaires fight like school children? They are both throwing dirt at each other instead of acting like mature adults. It's kind of embarresing to me to see grown people act like such fools.
