I suffered from severe menstrual cramps as a teen that eased up a bit as I neared 20 and it wasnt until I went into labour with my son that I realised how bad those pains I once had really were. the labour pains were very similar to the cramps I experienced as a teen.
It affected my education since my mom didnt understand and I didnt get any help for it, the pain would literally have me curled up in intense pain.
What I have found helps is to have a hot bath, this will ease your pain a lot- you may never want to get out, lol. this also decreases bloating.
stay away from caffiene, that will intensify the pain.
if you are having unbearable pain, talk to your doctor and work out a solution that you are happy with. no point in suffering.
hope ya feel better :(

I totally know what you mean. I used to have cramps that would leave me lying on the floor sweating and feeling like I would die. Moving didn't help, staying still didn't help, all the hot water bottles in the world had no effect. Sex can actually help as it places pressure on the uterus and can relieve some pain. Orgasm can make it worse or better though so be careful. I know you said no chemicals but I found that if I took paracetemol or ibuprofen while I was still in bed and then waited half an hour before I got up, it relaxed the muscles and didn't hurt as bad. Eventually I went on the pill which I don't like very much but it has all but stopped the cramps. I took a break from it for a few months and in the second month, the cramps were back worse than ever, so I went back on it. It is my lifesaver as nothing else really helped.

Try hot packs.
I love my hot pack, and would marry it if I could.
Also try Rosehip tea, it a relaxant and will help ease the cramping.
I would suggest making sure you don’t get dehydrated, but I know that drinking water when you have cramps is evil… it does help if you can manage it though.
If you do choose to exercise, stay away from things like sit-ups… they make things lot worse.
Walking helps quite a bit, and so does swimming.
(Swimming isn’t always practical though. If you DO go swimming to help period cramps, take water safety into account, and stay by the wall/shore)

Try going on a Evening Primrose health supplement. It's not medicine and it's not a pain killer. But it is known to be effective in helping ladies with menstruation pain.

No salt, lots of water, and crazy as it sounds, excercise. The day before your period, excercise and again every day it hurts. At first it'll feel worse, but a few minutes into your workout, you'll feel much better. It won't be 100% (that's impossible, even with the pill) but it'll be alot better.

Probably you’re suffering from Endometriosis and some tests should be run do discard it, because if you don’t the less problem will be pain, it may cause infertility in the future. Don’t delay a proper diagnosing procedure using “natural” medicine or something

Oh well...If u do not want to take any pills...then that's tough! But u can try to place a towel soak with warm water on ur stomach (perhaps slightly below ur navel/belly button) and lie down. Chg the water as soon as it cools down. U can also try to drink hot drinks too! Try it! Goodluck!

take cyclopam, its harmless, and as someone suggested, evening primrose oil is good, ive tried it myself! realli does work.. but cyclopam works much better and faster, have chocolates, helps ro ease the pain, dont have anything aerated, like coke, soda, have warm milk, take a warm water bath as it helps to expand the muscles. lie on your tummy. take care!!

Even though you don't want to take medication. The only thing that works for me is an ant-inflammatory.
