Desperate people do stupid things. So yes it is plausible that a woman would do that. As it is a guy might do it too.
It is not likely though.

People do a lot of things in reaction to stress. Going through a divorce is one of the most stressful events in my life. I do not know if "whore" is the correct term. I believe that term relates to sex in exchange for money. Rebound affair may be a more correct description.

My first question is who are you in this equation? Are you the boyfriend, or the "whore's" ex?
If you're the boyfriend then think of yourself as someone who gives another person comfort and possibly love. However, if you're the ex, don't pay attention, don't keep tabs, and move on. It will be much healthier for both of you.
