They're very shallow people. Someday their inner ugliness will be seen by everyone.

When people see others who are less attractive than themselves, it boosts their ego and self-esteem. They then either tend to tease, or give them filthy looks. Which makes them feel better. It's an egocentric thing which humans will most probably never get over.

displaced anger
envious of beautiful people perhaps
