I think they are still a couple of years away from competing for a divisional title. I think with Kubiack as HC they have a great offensive mind finally. Give him some time to teach Carr, and add some talent up front on the OL, with the addition of some key players elsewhere and they could be something to watch next year.
This year they were still bad, but showed some signs of hope.

The Texans are still atleast 3 more years away from trying for a playoff birth. Houston I believe is making efforts to get better and by firing the personnel in charge of drafting Mario Williams was a step in the right direction. I believe the Texans need to continue their work on the offensive line which has been their weak spot for some time now. If they could also aquire some additional quality receivers and a better back than Ron Dayne or Dominik Davis it would help as well.

the texans didn't suck this year, they just didn't win the games they should have been able to win.. i think david carr will probably go somewhere else and be a great quarterback.. 6 and 10 isn't a terrible year considering how some of the teams in the playoffs for the NFC were only 8 and 8.. but we have to remember this was another 'rebuilding' year w/ a new head coach coming in.. so were we really expected to make the playoffs? not really.. i'm hoping things get better very soon.. i think the texans started gettin' in better sync at the end of the season.. hopefully that's a look for what's going to happen next season.. as far as the draft, i don't know what to expect from them.. they made some good pics this year, defensive rookie of the ryans.. i'm excited to see what happens though for this coming up season.. GO TEXANS!

NFL championships are won from the Offensive Line out...St. Louis draft Orlando Pace three years later in a couple Super Bowl. The Ravens take John Ogden three years later in the Super Bowl. This years Jets...OT Ferguson and C Mannheim and go from the #3 draft position to the playoff with a rehab QB and No RB....Take series OL guy and build a solid unit to your QB and WR combo to succeed. Detroit should do the same.

The Texans sucked this year and unless they make serious changes like the quarterback they will suck again next year.
