deep impact is a space probe!!!

saying of its technical ability i would say no!
but taking it as a pioneer mission of this type i say yes!
However it hasn't been able to give what was expected from it i.e. calculation of oxygen isotope content and it couldn't detect presence of some other metals and some inert gases.which are now ceing founded by ground observations.

It has already been successful last year. It got there and did all the science it was supposed to. Now we wait for the analysis of what it found.
