There are essentially four elements in your dream. The bridge over water, the hill, the city, and the cemetary.
In a previous response, I noted that the young lady commented that you are in need of making a choice. I disagree!
Usually, indications of needing to make a choice is reflected by split paths.
What I feel is that you are passing from one part of your life to another. Remember always, do not burn your bridges behind you. Is it possible that you are of an age where you are planning on leaving the home of your parents and into a home in which you and a friend will create? The third party is someone you may be planning to meet. Another roommate? A baby? Perhaps...
Now, the cemetary is linked to death. Do not fear this as dreaming of death is fortunate. It usually means that you are about to end something and begin something else. This further suggests that you are parting your childhood home.
The city is the shine and hope of what you seek in your future. The reason it is on a hill is that you are about to dive into responcibilities that you are probably not accustomed to. Thus, the climb represents the amount of effort you are going to have to achieve in order to reach the goal of your city.
I might further suggest that the city represents the reward you will recieve from your independance.
I would like if you would email me and let me know if what I suspect is true, or close. Thanks.

Often people have dreams they feel need interpretation. You may use a dictionary of dreams but this method is extremly limited. The limitation is that your dream is personal to your life and significant to you, a dream dictionary will give you several explanations but usually non will be relavant. A better method is to keep a dream diary, when you wake, write down what you remember of your dream.
Your dreams are personal to you, they will reflect what is happening in your current life and only you can decode the meaning (unfortunatly!). Analyze your current life, are you working towards a goal? how are relations between you and your friends/partner? If you analyze your dream from this perspective, then it will make more sense. Dreams are not cut and dry, or in other words, a bridge may or may not be significant, it could be that the decreasing number of steps is more important.
Hope this helps

To dream that you are crossing a bridge, signifies an important decision or a critical junction in your life. This decision will prove to be a positive change with prosperity and wealth in the horizon. Bridges represent a transitional period in your life where you will be moving on to a new stage.
To dream of a run-down bridge, indicates that you should not contemplate any major changes in your life at this time.
To see a bridge collapse in your dream, denotes that you have let a great opportunity pass you by.
To dream that water is rising up, signifies your struggles and overwhelming emotions.
To dream that you are in a cemetery, indicates an end to a habit or behavior. You are experiencing a rebirth. More directly, the dream may symbolize sadness, unresolved grief or your fears about death.
To see your friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to integrate these rejected part of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Additionally, this symbol foretells of happy tidings from them and the arrival of good news.

You have to be careful about other people interpreting your dreams, especially if you are going to base your behavior on that interpretation. Modern science doesn't know much about dreams, and every attempt of interpreting dreams is just an unsupported speculation. You can have fun with it, but don't let them affect your life in a big way, because as far as we know they could only be 'screen savers' for your brain. Who knows what they mean. Trust me on this one: no one.

You have a decision to make and you're running out of time. The decision may involve the friend, or it may be that you feel that they could help in making the decision. The unknown friend could possibly represent an outcome.

It means that you are taking one step forward and two steps backwards in your lifestyle. Be careful of the two friends who are always there, they may be holding you back. The 'friend' you don't know is your guardian angel who is trying to steer you away from a premature end.
