Does anyone notice the difference between the recalled Wii straps, and the old ones?

I don't and I got mine and there is not difference.

If you just bought your Wii or accessory Wiimote, then you already get the newer, thicker straps.

The improvement is not in the strap, that goes around your wrist, but the small strap, that goes from that plastic thingy to your Wiimote.
On the old straps, this cord is less than half a Millimeter thin. The new band is about a Millimeter thick.

According to Nintendo, the new straps are supposed to be "thicker". If they are, it's not by much.
