yeah quit trying to either make yourself feel good or feel good about your child by having people respond on yahoo about how abnormal that is. Let me guess, it was an on-line test? that proclaimed to be valid? I did a couple of those and got over 160 each time, they are complete BS. Intelligence doesn't really matter anyway unless you are a true genius, other than that anyone can learn to do any job whether you're a lawyer or a janitor, it can all be learned by just about anyone who has proper motivation and up bringing.

I think it was a week ago when i watched discovery channek about IQ. And apparently, IQ was important in the older generation, thinking that would get them the job, and they are smart because they have this high of an iq.

But studies have shown otherwise, that universities and all dont go for iq's anymore. Its not what you know its how you put it into action. It is the experiences you gain.
So dont worry about IQ anymore, it is like age which is only a number , everything is a psychology in the head of how you see and percieve things.
the 11 year old will make his world to either adjust, be smarter or just be lazy and get dumber. So if it is one of your spouse and you really care, then I guess start working on his motivation skills and basically spend more time and know what he wants to help him in the right direction. All kids need support.

If you are the 11 year old kid, then don't let other people judge how smart you are, you are the onkly one in charge of your future , of how normal or unormal you are.

In this day and age, we are soo diverse that there is no such thing as unormal.

It depends on the IQ test taken. There are many forms of IQ test available, many of which can be accessed freely on the intenet, but not all IQ tests are bonefide. The definition of intelligence is ones ability to reason, and not all IQ tests are standardised for this purpose. In order to get an accurate IQ result, your boy would need to do an IQ test that has been official recognised as standard in your area. Internet IQ tests are often created for your amusement, the results of these tests cannot be used officially. I once did several different IQ tests on the internet for a laugh. My results varied dramatically between 80 (less than the adult human average) amd 150 (greater than the human average). This is why it is necessary to use an IQ test that is recognised as standard. If the IQ test is recognised as the standard official IQ test in your area then you will find that an IQ of 100 is considered the human average. An IQ of 140 would be considered very high.

An IQ of 141 means the same thing for a person regardless of age, because it's a number based on age. It is quite high. On some scales, it would be genius while on others, highly gifted.

141 is not normal for any age. 100 is average.

IQ's don't go up with age - it is based on how well he did on a test verse his peers. It means you have a very bright boy for his age - congradulations!!!

Remember - its always better to be smart than famous.

Good Luck!!!

i guess human beings dont stop to imagine that probability is it truly is the 11 12 months previous boy asking the question, and that i imagine its completely conventional to be watching his own chest... and definite at 11 you could all precise have hair starting up to strengthen in all kinds of places you didnt have it earlier. you'd be starting up to enter puberty. countless childrens are hitting it earlier lately.

IQ is age-adjusted, so the last part of your sentence is superfluous. That's in the borderline genius range.
