Money, greed, starvation, and many more that I can't think of right now,oh wait, one more ,ignorance.People that say there's plenty of fish in the sea are wrong, misinformed or fooling themselves.I've been SCUBA diving since the mid 90's(not very long at all)and I have seen reductions in both the size and number of the reef fish in the Caribbean, and am told by more experienced people who have been diving much longer that the decline is accelerating.PeeTee

Which predator do you mean, the sardines that eat krill or the things that eat sardines or the things that eat those fish or maybe the tuna or maybe the sharks or what about the whales.

Ever heard of the food chain- its called that for a reason because every thing in it gets eaten by some one else. Everything is a predator including whales and I don't suppose you are suggesting that start killing whales or turtles either.
The other point is that if don't take any fish what so ever, how are you going to feed the world... there wont be enough food to go round.

Because their are already some limits for non commercial fishing. Also there is a mass abundance of most fish in the ocean that it wouldn't do much. Their is also a thing called a food chain so in reality most fish are predators because not all eat algae. Alot eat other living things. Finally it would be a bad idea because alot of people make a living by fishing. What would they do if their lively hood was taken away for an entire year.

Because many countries in the world depend on fishing for food and money. Fish are by no means endangered. What do want people to kill? Whales...dolphins...seals...penguins...sharks...? Thats a good way to endanger all of these (some already endangered) animals.

Because fishing is a huge industry. Many different countries depend on it. It just isn't going to happen. Ever try to get the family to agree on something when everyone can input.?
