I am not sure if I understand the question but I think we live in a time when there is no confidence or trust on the others. The values of honesty and compromise are critically devaluated, and relations are volatile, and transitory. Compromise requires responsibility and trust. That requires effort, and nobody wants to make efforts. This situation is fostered by movies, books, media in general promoting lack of compromise. The internet also helps offering millions of people willing to contact each other anonimously and without any kind of compromise, lying anonimously to each other.

many reasons. some people fear that they will be disappointed, rejected or left with a broken heart. some people were hurt once and fear being hurt again. some people choose to stay away from relations because they prefer to be free and single with no commitments to anyone. some people are afraid to hurt others. some people are insecure about their abilities to be a good partner and others are suffering from self esteem problems which causes them to push others away and leaves them relation less.

rite from our birth, that is our umbilical chord we share wid our mother, we are put into strings attached relations
now relationship means you relate urself to some1 who holds certain pages in ur book of life .......but all of the time relations may not be fruiful ....as we see these days that the younger ones succumb to the pressure more due to their peers
similarly in luv n sex wer u just seek fun .but thats it you don wanna see the gal again the next day ....... here mutual benefits are seen
relations also survive wen both have mutual gains if one of them is not satisfied .........it breaks
