I think that humans, as a species, create too many children and don't treat them well enough. There are too many children neglected and abused, poorly educated and in homes where there is alcohol or drug abuse and poverty. Am I alone in thinking that making more people while we can't take care of the ones that exist is irresponsible?

Then, why don't you adopt one of those neglected, poorly educated,abused children? If you aren't going to, then what is the point in posting this? There isn't a point. Nothing is going to change.

50,000 Grey whales may be "enough" for us to stop worrying about the immediate extinction of the species, but that's nothing like saying we don't need any more of them to exist.
As far as the human population goes, which children are you prepared to declare have no right to exist? Who is qualified to say that "this" couple deserves no children but its okay for "that" couple?
Why are you directing this frustration at a society with welfare programs, public education, and legal abortion and birth control methods?

Exactly, look at the indians and pakistanis, these people are idiots, they are so overpopulated but they keep breeding like rabbits. Ethiopians, we should be sending them condoms not food what is wrong with these people? Why continue to keep sending them help when they wont help themselves by keeping their pants on? The world is so overpoplated yet we have these SFB governments saying we need more people for stronger economies. Then we have these idiot doctors creating IVF; hey if you cant have children nature is telling you something so suck it up. At least George Bush is working on the problem.

I do not think we need more people but who is to judge on fit parents parenting is a skill you tend to learn after you give birth some are better than others. do you concider you will be a fit parent ? my children now tell me I wasn't but they are all doing very well in education. not all countrys have the education systems the uk and usa have.
