Not everything when burned gives flame. Burning is called "oxidation" and when iron oxidizes that is burning just like a piece of paper going up in flame, only far slower. At the point of burning a flame gives off light and heat and is considered a low temperature partial plasma.

Well my dear friend,
It not energy because energy is not like that visible,
in other hand, it not plasma because plasma is the forth state of matter that occur when you have some electric charge with high energy like sun surface, not a flame.
I think you can call a flame a very hot gas but in top part of the flame it should be energy. ( I am not very sure that's interesting for me too)

For the most part, fire is a mixture of hot gases. Flames are the result of a chemical reaction, primarily between oxygen in air and a fuel, such as wood or propane. In addition to other products, the reaction produces carbon dioxide, steam, light, and heat. If the flame is hot enough, the gases are ionized and become yet another state of matter: plasma.

it dosnt have a state of matter it is in transition the flame is changing it depending on what kind of thing is lighting the flame so neither its transtion unless ur talking about the sun than its plasma its so hot that it becomes that and any ways a flame is just energy

Plasma.

It is a gas that is so hot that it glows. But I believe that is also contains plasma.
The thing that I cannot understand is what gives it it's curtian like behaviour. It is as if it is a semi-solid fluid, like a plastic sort of gas.

it doesn't belong to any state,it's just a kind of energy. And wind is a kind of energy, too;it's a flow of many gases

Boy, this one has me stumped. I'm going to have to guess. I have a gut feeling, but I'm still guessing... Iowa?
